Honouring Glen McFarland’s Leadership as Managing Partner

We extend our sincere appreciation to Glen McFarland for his leadership and contributions as we announce his retirement as Managing Partner of McGovern Hurley. Throughout his 30-year career at our firm, Glen played an important role in the firm’s growth and evolution while continuing to uphold the high standards of service and professionalism our clients expect.
Glen began his career at McGovern Hurley as our very first co-op student, when the firm had approximately 15 people. Over the past 30 years we’ve grown to a firm of approximately 100 people, including 15 partners. Glen’s progression from co-op student to Managing Partner reflects what can be achieved through hard work, discipline, and an ambitious vision for the future.
His guidance, deep industry knowledge, and commitment to the profession have had a lasting impact across our firm and the broader accounting community.
In 2022, Glen was recognized as a CPA Ontario Fellow, and in 2025, he was elected to CPA Ontario Council.
Glen would like to thank his present and past partners and colleagues, clients, friends, family, and all the others who he has had the pleasure of working and volunteering with in his professional career, thereby making his journey so fulfilling.
