His practice focuses on cross-border transactions, international tax planning, and corporate structuring, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
Before joining McGovern Hurley, John built his expertise at a mid-sized Toronto firm, followed by five years specializing in real estate taxation at KPMG. Today, he’s a trusted advisor to Invest in Ontario and Toronto Global, guiding global businesses expanding into Canada with his cross-border tax acumen.
A passionate educator, John has facilitated the CPA In-Depth Tax Program from 2014 to 2024 and speaks on topics like cross-border tax strategies and business transactions, making complex ideas actionable.
Outside the office, John enjoys golf and family time, balancing his love for tax with personal passions.
